Jason has set out towards Oklahoma City alone today. He is targeting a potential for large storms, predicted to produce large tornadoes, damaging winds and large hail. Live video should be up later in the day when these storms start to develop.
Update:[6:45] Jason was fortunate enough to get a BRIEF shot of the tornado. With the storm so wrapped in rain the sightings were in and out. The storm continues to produce more brief tornadoes as it moves East.
Update:[5:30] Tornado on the ground East of Dover, OK. Jason is seeing the tornado on and off but it’s rain wrapped so it’s difficult to see.
Update:[Noon] The SPC has upgraded the Tornado threat to 30% for this afternoon. There is a high likelihood of strong to severe tornadoes in central Oklahoma area. Jason is in South Central Kansas, headed South towards Oklahoma City.

-Update 1732
And with the most recent SPC update, my chase ends. The tornado watch is gone and the probabilty for severe storms has decreased significantly. It is so overcast that I can’t even try for any thunder storm cloud pictures.

-Update 1711
-Update 1545
I, Jason, have finally gotten my live video stream up and running. You can check it out on the streaming tab of our site. It’s 3:45 and there are currently 2 tornado warnings about 60 miles south east of me. I’m positioning myself to be in intercept position as this huge line of storms comes north east.
There is a decent chance that some of our team may be headed to North Eastern Kansas today.

-Update 13:10
The outlook as become more focused in the eastern Kansas region. Jason has enough time to get down to the area today so he will be heading out shortly.

Today looks to be a VERY good day. There is a high risk of severe storms across much of the eastern side of Tornado Alley. We wish we could chase down into Arkansas, but we just do not have time to get down there. However, our neck of the woods looks to be the second best place to chase. We’ll update later with our plans.
